An offshoot of this higher electrical demand is greater heat generation which for many plasma displays is an issue that can only be controlled with noisy internal fans.

Today, all of thats been changed, with the introduction of plasma TV.

Our tv viewing is restricted to the three major networks (which come in with varying amounts of static, depending upon the weather) and PBS, which comes in clear.
