LCD vs CRT

[ Internet Home Business :: HomeOfficeVoice] And my personal and unscientific opinion is that flat screens rule - even with three of them on my desk I have still have room for more cups, plates, bits of paper and half-read magazines than I did when I had two CRT monitors.

[Tuaw.com] The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW): Its a purely unscientific layman’s debate, but definitely a topic that needs further testing and investigating. But it seems Scoble has inadvertently conceded an important point about how OS X is superior “out of the box”
[Hdforindies.com] HD For Indies: However, to get 2 streams of 10-bit uncompressed HD with plenty of real-time effects and the ability to mix all resolutions, you'd have to beef up an FCP system to the point where it would end up being $40k I bet, but it still as yet wouldn't be able to mix resolutions, formats, and compressions rates without rendering. Anyway - just like with my VelocityQ, the VHD works in conjunction with Digital Fusion by allowing you to select a range of clips on your timeline, right-clicking on them and selecting "Send Range to DF." The range of clips will open in DF in the correct order of chronology with the necessary loaders placed, and if you had dissolves between clips it will add those too (I don't think it will add more specific effects from Velocity, but if you're doing a big composite in DF you should add those in DF anyway IMO).
[Nowhere.2entwine.com] Going Nowhere: Misc Archives: are very excited at the prospect of including ads in their feeds because it's the easy way out for generating revenue ( RSS Ads -- let's get it on!!! ). They claim it won't affect the over all experience, but let's be honest, when your only revenue model is advertising, it pits you against your readers/ users / people who give you the time of day.
