CTX Dual screen monitors
[Krunker] CTX has announced that it will be producing a new 17 inch dual screen LCD display that shares a single base. Think of it as two 17 inch LCDs standing side by side on the sample platform. These new monitors will be out in Q3 2005.

They’re not exactly biting off of DoubleSight, since the idea of mounting two LCD screens side-by-side is hardly original, but like DoubleSight’s DS-1500, you still need to have two video cards to get it all rolling. They also don’t appear to have addressed our one major beef with these things—namely that you can’t angle in the displays for easier viewing. Should be out sometime in Q3 of this year.

[Will (starliner)] starliner: It's big, it's bulky, but I have plenty of room. Everything in my system has been updated in the last year or so, but the old cheep CTX 17" monitor was on it's last leg. Everything on the right side for about an inch was all scrunched up and it was getting pretty weak all around.

The press-release is very thin on technical specifications, just talks about how cool this dual screen monitor is. CTX is targeting financial, medical and other professional applications. Why not gaming?
